KUALA LUMPUR - Emilia Hanafi, the former wife of tycoon Datuk SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin arrived at the Syariah Court, here, at 9.30am today, to surrender herself to serve her seven-day jail sentence for contempt of court.
The mother of three was handed down the jail sentence by the court in 2019, for unilaterally rescheduling the visitation dates for her children to be with their father, not adhering to a court order regarding visitation rights.
Emilia who was clad in a white jubah with a matching scarf was accompanied by lawyer Siti Zabedah Kasim or better known as Siti Kasim and her supporters.
