SHAH ALAM - Celebrity politician Altimet understands the struggling local entertainment industry which worsened after the two-year lockdowns due to Covid-19.

He is hoping for a temporary entertainment tax exemption to uplift the ailing industry and urged politicians to keep their politics aside to help artists and performers.

The 43-year-old rapper who contested at the Ampang PKR branch but loss spoke to Sinar Daily's Politically Frank over his aspirations for the industry and who his role model is.

Despite strong objections among some PKR members over the online results during party elections, Altimet whose real name is Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad said there was nothing wrong with how the party elections were held on May 29.

He also shared tips on how Malaysians could contribute to politics in the country.
