2,932 Covid-19 cases, four fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 2,932 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 with over 1,238 hospitalised, according to data published by the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, over 42 patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 25 patients out of the number required ventilator support.

The nation also recorded another four deaths due to Covid-19 with one brought-in-dead (BID) cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 43,374 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 30,019 active cases with 28,709 (95.6 per cent) undergoing home quarantine.

Klang Valley and Selangor recorded the highest number of Covid-19 infections with 1,670 and 829 respectively in the last seven days.

The country has recorded 4,578,741 Covid-19 cases in total since the pandemic began.
