Anti-hopping law to be in force by end of September

SHAH ALAM - The anti-party hopping law is expected to be implement by end of September, this year.

According to a report by Borneo Post, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the law will be gazetted by then and it was ready to be tabled in Parliament by July 18.

“The law is ready to be tabled. I have a timeline and it will be presented on July 18,” he was quoted saying to the media on Saturday.

Commenting further, Wan Junaidi said he would give some time to the members of Parliament to review the version of the bill including the scope and parameter.

He also said he was ready to debate on the bill and was confident that he would succeed and have the bill approved in the Dewan Rakyat.
