KUBANG PASU - Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan has confirmed that he is no longer the chairman of National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).

The Bersatu information chief said his contract expired on June 17.

He was appointed to the post on June 18, 2018 and said he is happy with the accomplishments and initiatives he made at PTPTN.

“Since my contract with PTPTN concluded on June 17, it is true that I am no longer its chairman. As far as I know, no new chairman has been chosen.

"I am happy with the work done during my four years at PTPTN, especially on long-term solutions linked to debts," he said after a community programme at Kampung Machang.

During his time at PTPTN, Wan Saiful had managed to increase the education fund's collection from RM700 million to RM3 billion in four years.
