M’sia records 4,098 cases, eight deaths in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia records 4,098 new Covid-19 cases including five imported cases and eight deaths in the last 24 hours.

Data published by the Health Ministry showed that with the recent eight deaths, the total number of deaths in the country had rised to 35,836 since the pandemic began.

Currently there were 38,913 active Covid-19 cases in the country, with 96.4 per cent of patients, or 37,495 individuals being quarantined at home.

Out of the total number, 1,339 individuals were hospitalised, with 35 still required ventilation support.

The Health Ministry (MoH) also recorded 2,071 recoveries yesterday.

To date, Malaysia has recorded 4,608,768 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
