SHAH ALAM - Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has slammed PKR's number two Rafizi Ramli for instructing party members to lodge police reports against the former for "poisoning the minds of the people"

Najib sarcastically said that Rafizi had crawled out of the "cave" last March and has promised to rebut his postings.

"After 4 months he has still not succeeded to rebut me. Today he told his PKR party members to back him up with the rebuttals

"After failing to do so, he is now asking the entire party to fight one man," he said in his Facebook posting.

That's weak, Najib added.

This comes after Rafizi today called on party members nationwide to start lodging police reports against Najib every time the former prime minister makes "poisonous" remarks. He urged party members to make it a point to do so in the next few months, ahead of the 15th general election (GE15).

Rafizi further said that the new leadership of the party’s first task now was to oppose Najib and send him straight to jail. He also for the members of all levels to lodge police reports on Tuesday.

Najib said he does not lie as his statements are based on facts.

"Secondly, as long as the statements do not incite protest on streets, lying on social media is not a crime If cheating is a criminal offence, Rafizi would have been involved in it for ten years."

Najib further said: "Lodge lah lots of police reports. I am not afraid because I do not lie like you. (Am I a coward? Who ran into a cave for two years before reappearing?) That day he was the one who said that I am not popular anywhere," Najib further claimed.

Since the newly elected PKR deputy president returned to politics after a two-year break, Najib and Rafizi have often traded barbs over social media.
