BANGI - Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has asked all parties not to blame Registrar of Societies (RoS) for delays in replying to Umno's amendments on party polls, urging them to give the authority more time to reply.

He also hopes that Barisan Nasional (BN) will not be blamed for urging the authority to respond to their request to delay party polls after the general elections.

"Lets give RoS more time, maybe a week or two," he said after the Wacana Aspirasi Ummah 'NGO Helps Stability' programme at Dewan Sri Warisan, Kampung Teras Jernang on Sunday.

The Pontian MP further said RoS may need more time to review additional documents asked from Umno.

"They asked for eight additional documents. It may take time to respond," he told reporters when asked over the approval.

Umno's constitution amendment was submitted to the RoS on May 17.

On July 7, RoS said the decision will be known on July 16.
