MARANG - Pas has agreed to use the new logo that will be introduced by the Pakatan Nasional (PN) in the next 15th General Election (GE15).

Its president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said further developments on the new logo would be discussed with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

"Yes, we will discuss it in the next meeting," he said after delivering a weekly lecture at the Masjid Rusila here on Friday.

He said that when he was asked to comment whether Pas agreed to use the new PN logo.

It was reported that PN would introduce a new logo to be used in the upcoming GE15.

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said this followed a proposal to modify the existing logo during the coalition's Supreme Council Meeting.

He had said the existing logo was good but his party would make improvements and there would be symbols used.

In the meantime, Abdul Hadi, however, said that Pas would continue to strengthen Muafakat Nasional (MN) even though the party intended to use the new PN logo.

“Pas brings the unity of ummah’s agenda, it does not budge. The problem of the logo will be discussed later,” he said.

The Marang MP also explained that Pas had always held discussions on preparations for GE15 with the party's coalition partners.

"(Negotiations) are discussed from time to time and we still have no idea when the GE will be held,” he said.
