KUALA LUMPUR - Tourism, Arts and Culture deputy minister Datuk Seri Dr Santhara Kumar is still with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and will continue to support the party’s president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan said the report which had been circulated today that claimed the Segamat Member of Parliament had submitted a letter to quit the party was false.

"I spoke to Yang Berhormat (YB) Datuk Seri Dr Santhara Kumar and he explained that he only wished to resign as head of the associate wing.

"That's the content of the letter he sent, not to quit the party," he told Sinar Harian on Saturday.

Wan Saiful added Santhara's request would be considered by the top leadership of the party as best as possible.

It was learnt that Santhara would hold a press conference to explain the matter.

Yesterday, a portal reported that Santhara had submitted a letter to leave Bersatu to party's Secretary General Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.
