SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 2,720 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours including five imported cases, said the health ministry.

Five deaths were also recorded, bringing the total to 35,914 deaths since the pandemic bagan.

There are currently 46,957 active cases, bringing the total number of cases to 4,651,651 so far.

Klang Valley reported the most number of cases, averaging to 2,551 cases for the past 14 days. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor also recorded the highest number of Covid-19 deaths with 29 and 24 deaths respectively in the last 14 days.

In terms of vaccination rate, Klang Valley continues to lead with 100.7 percent, followed by Penang and Negeri Sembilan with 90.7 percent and 89.8 percent, respectively.
