SHAH ALAM – The Light Rail Transit (LRT) service on the Ampang - Sri Petaling Line has been fully restored at 1.35pm this afternoon.

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd in a statement said that the LRT service on the route was disrupted at 12.48pm following the major electricity outage earlier.

The service interruption affected 11 stations from Bandar Tun Razak LRT Station towards Pusat Bandar Puchong LRT Station.

"As a result of this problem, the train moves more slowly and stops for a long time on the platform.

"Affected passengers have been offered free one-way travel coupons which need to be redeemed at the customer service counter.

"The service was fully restored at 1.35 pm," the statement read.

Rapid Rail had previously announced that the LRT service at the route was affected due to electricity supply problems involving several areas in the Klang Valley.

However, the Mass Transit Transit (MRT) and LRT Kelana Jaya Line services are not affected and are operating as usual.
