PurelyB creates opportunities for women through its wellness products

Shifting from an educational platform to launch their own product in 2019 was a success for PurelyB when Pegaga by PurelyB managed to make RM250,000 revenue without spending on marketing.
“As a startup business, we don’t have much money and when we wanted to introduce pegaga to the market, we didn’t event start producing the product on a big scale yet.
“So, what we did was, we started with preorder basis. First, we created some articles on our website explaining the health benefits of pegaga.
“From there, we managed to collect preorder 250 unit of products and we sold them RM100 each, which all of the products were sold out and we made RM25,000 without spending in marketing,” says Raja Jesrina Azlina Raja Arshad, the founder and chief executive officer of PurelyB.
She adds, it was a good start for them when 30 percent of the first buyers eventually repeated their orders, even though they required to wait for three months to receive their orders.
Explaining further regarding their wellness business, Raja Jesrina says formerly they focused more on the online ecommerce with 95 per cent of their revenue were came from directly to consumer.
“However, recently we started the empowerment agent programs since we noticed many women lost their jobs due to the pandemic and we wanted to help by creating opportunities.
“There are two programmes and the first is they would need to promote the products online where they will earn 20 percent of the profit. No shipment is required as everything will be handled by the warehouse.
“The other one is stockist program, whereby they ought to pay upfront. Many of our loyal customers has shifted to become our stokist as they love our products,” she said.
Sharing the benefits of consuming Pegaga by PurelyB, she explained it could help in digestion, gut health, and skin condition, such as acne and eczemas. Meanwhile, another product, Tiger Milk Mushroom emphasizes more on respiratory health.
Raja Jesrina says, they would advise their customers to consume their products regularly to obtain their health they desired.
Aside from developing wellness products like Pegaga and Tiger Milk Mushroom, PurelyB has collaborated with Ibupreneur in expanding their business line into making cookies with Pegaga, which is Pegaga and Moringa Superfood Cookies.
With that being said, the cookies also have received many positive feedbacks and has attracted younger generations to have a taste of ancient remedy in a modern form.
Moving on to the outsource partners of PurelyB, Raja Jesrina has showed us the warehouse that stores their products, Tresgo Warehouse that located in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
“We tested a lot of logistic partners, and we know what we want for the health food products as the temperature, sunlight, environment and the managing team on how they would manage our products.
“After visiting quite numbers of warehouses, TresGo Warehouse, has the best facility that could give the best care of our product and have it delivered to our customer in the best quality and form,” she explained to Sinar Daily team.
