SHAH ALAM - In a subdued posting, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said he sometimes "feels lonely" with sincerity rewarded betrayal.

Najib said every individual's journey is different.

"There are times when we feel overwhelmed by tests and trials," he wrote on his Facebook.

This comes after a week-long disappointment and over unexpected turn of events as the country's top court dismissed Najib's two appeals.

The first was a motion to adduce additional evidence and to postpone the hearing over the misappropriation of money in SRC International court case.

Najib who earned the title of Bossku after becoming a social media sensation during his nationwide trips and for raising concerns over the country's economy during the pandemic further said: "sometimes we feel our efforts and kindness are in vain."

"With slander and persecution. With a hope that ends in failure," Najib further wrote.

Najib is in a bid to overturn his 12-year jail sentence and RM210 million fine over SRC International court case.

One of the comments from the posting was from Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi who said: "May DS (Datuk Seri) be protected by Allah, always,".

A support group called Kelab Pendokong Penyatuan Ummah Malaysia will be holding a special prayer Sunday night for Najib nationwide.
