KUALA LUMPUR - Over 500 Orang Asli villagers were feted by the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry (KPWKM) under the Jelajah Kasih Prihatin Rakyat programme held at the Kolam Air Bangkong Orang Asli Village in Dengkil near here today.

Various activities and services were held in partnership with the programme by the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) and the Orang Asli Development Department, including registration for subsidised mammograms, men’s health clinics and house visits along with men and women’s health briefings.

The programme is part of the Kasih Keluarga Malaysia campaign introduced to instil good values in families.

"The programme is also aimed at tackling mental health issues in communities following the COVID-19 pandemic,” the board said in a statement today.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun, KPWKM secretary-general Datuk Dr Maziah Che Yusoff and LPPKN chairman Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Ghazali were also present.
