SHAH ALAM - Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has the government not to delay elections due to a possible hung government after elections.

Citing Political Scientist Professor Dr Wong Chin Huat, he said there were nothing to be afraid of hung Parliament after general elections.

“This situation isn’t as bad as potrayed by certain parties. It will not destroy a country, nor will it affect the economy.

"Infact, we need to have a comprehensive political understanding," Zahid said in his Facebook posting.

The Bagan Datuk MP further said the New Zealand governments from 1996 to 2020 were formed from hung parliament but the nation progressed and remained stable.
