SHAH ALAM - Amanah President Mohamad Sabu has reminded Malaysians not to laugh over the misfortune of others but to learn the lesson from the incident.

The misfortune should act as a guideline for others not to repeat or follow.

"Therefore, Malaysians must build a country that is even better and eradicate corruption continuously so that Malaysia becomes a country that is prosperous, peaceful and with integrity, now and in the near future," he said in a Facebook posting.

Mohamad fondly known as Mat Sabu further urged the rakyat to strive and pray for a better future for the country.

"We pray that Malaysia and its people are safe and peaceful and live with integrity, social justice to be upheld at best," he said.

Yesterday, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was sentenced to 12 years in jail and fined RM210 million after his appeal against SRC International case was denied.
