SHAH ALAM - Telecommunications giant Maxis Berhad will showcase 'Apalah Generasi Ini', a film to pay tribute to youth as shapers and drivers of the digital economy and to celebrate their fearless and progressive spirit in embracing new possibilities this Merdeka and Malaysia Day.

Its brand and marketing chief, Tai Kam Leong said it highlights challenges of several young Malaysians who are trying to find gainful employment in a society that expects them to conform to existing ideals and norms.

"In a quirky unveiling of their fresh and unique job interview responses, we eventually discovered that these individuals are content creators and video makers who are equipped with the digital skills to thrive in the future.

Tai further said they are inspired by youths who are constantly redefining the meaning of "live, work and play in this digital world."

In lifting these Malaysians, he said Maxis hopes to contribute to the nation’s aspirations.

"We are committed to empowering them with the digital tools and skills to thrive, as we firmly believe that they are core to Malaysia’s diverse and vibrant digital economy,” said Tai.

The film is available at https://youtu.be/r-74sXnpmQ0.

Merdeka or Malaysia's 65th Independence day falls on Aug 31 and Malaysia Day on Sept 16.

Maxis will also be organising a Malaysia Day edition of its popular eKelas Usahawan workshop on Sept 24, focusing on women entrepreneurs from B40 communities.

The programme targets women entrepreneurs from B40 groups.

eKelas Usahawan comprises a series of digital marketing workshops with a practical and hands-on approach through modules including tips and basic skills on marketing, digital photography, copywriting and planning for marketing and advertising campaigns.
