Hundreds of Umno’s supporters who gathered were seen chanting “Malu apa Bossku” and “Hidup BN” in the hall, in support of former prime minister the newly incarcerated Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Solidarity banners for Najib were put up in front of Dewan Merdeka, here, as the meeting was expected to talk about the injustice from the imprisonment of Najib, as one of the briefing’s main agenda.

Also present were Najib's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and her daughter Nooryana Najwa Najib, with the latter expected to deliver a speech from her father at the meeting later.

Najib was sentenced to a 12 year prison term and a fine of RM210 million on Tuesday for misappropriation of SRC International funds.
