KOTA KINABALU - Two months after quitting Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Lahad Datu MP Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi is now officially a Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

This was announced by PBM President Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien (Julau MP) and Parti Kuala Rakyat President Kamaruzaman Yaakob. “Today, I am officially announcing that now me and my friends from Lahad Datu are joining PBM.

"I am also honoured that the PMB President Datuk Larry and Kamaruzaman as the President of Parti Kuasa Rakyat is here with us today,” he said in a press conference here on Sunday.

Mohamaddin, who is also the Segama State Assemblyman, said his decision was after evaluating and examining the constitution of the party that was the core of its establishment to fight for the rights and autonomy of the Borneo region as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

"Through this struggle, Sabah are fully cooperating with PBM and Parti Kuasa Rakyat so that we can implement what is exactly enshrined in MA63.

“In an unprecedented political situation, I’m in the view that the unification of the people's powers from the two regions of Borneo, namely Sabah and Sarawak must cooperate with the Peninsula," he said.

Meanwhile, Larry said Mohamaddin's membership will be followed by more lawmakers in the near future.
