SHAH ALAM - In its effort to combat corruption, the Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) launches the Integrity Guideline Book.

State Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the launching in conjunction with the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) ceremony by over 1,000 MBI business partners at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, on Thursday.

They had vowed commitement in applying a work culture of integrity in the business chain system involving MBI.

Amirudin said the effort to come up with the book showed that MBI was committed in implementing a corruption-free pledge among vendors and business partners and creating a transparent governance.

"The council stands firm against corruption and abuse of power, therefore the state government gives importance to instill intergrity among those who carried out their duty without fear and favor.

"This will further remind the outside parties dealing with MBI that there are no compromise in our efforts to fight corruption," he said.

Meanwhile, MBI chief executive officer Nortita Mohd Sidek stressed that MBI was taking proactive steps in implementing integrity values through the guideline book.

"The launch of the guideline is the result of previous initiatives that the MBI Integrity and Governance Department and the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) jointly launched," she said.
