TANJONG KARANG - Selangor Umno has asked each state division to submit a list of five potential candidates for state and parliamentary seats ahead of the 15th General Election (GE15).

Its chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar said it was instructed by the Umno Supreme Council (MKT).

"The listing of candidates is still in process and we are still waiting for a few more," he said at a press conference here.

Sinar Harian on August 24 reported that the Kuala Selangor Umno division has sent a list of 20 names of candidates to represent the party in GE15.

Its chief Datuk Jahaya Ibrahim said a total of 15 names of candidates were sent to compete in three state assembly seats and five more candidates for the Parliamentary seat.

The present Kuala Selangor MP is Amanah's Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
