KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) unanimously agrees to join Pakatan Harapan (PH) as one of its component parties in the coalition.

The matter was decided through the Muda Electoral Conference that took place on Monday and Tuesday.

Its President Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said he was open to an official discussion with the PH Presidential Council regarding the matter.

He said the unofficial discussion regarding Muda's participation in PH was conducted since the previous Johor State Elections (SE).

"Muda is open to official discussion with the PH Presidential Council about the direction of the country to ensure the public's voices are brought up and build a progressive and dignified Malaysia and celebrate the religious and racial diversity.

"It is not just a collaboration with PH (for GE15) but an early discussion for the participation of a stable block with the same principles.

"I can't comment further until there is an official negotiation," he said at the press conference after the conference today.

PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday said the coalition had not discussed matter on Muda's participation as a component party.
