SHAH ALAM - There is no sign of Umno in the All-Party Parliamentary Group-Integrity, Governance and Anti Corruption (APPG) meeting today, however, non-governmental organisation #RasuahBusters are looking forward to welcome the party in the future.

It’s chief executive officer Nurhayati Nordin revealed that although Umno was seen today, the APPG saw the involvement of Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki as Umno representative in the group.

However, it came to an end as Asyraf’s term as Senator was over.

“Umno has its representative earlier, however his term just ended.

“As soon we got the information (of Asyraf’s end of tenure), we informed Umno so that they could send any representative to join APPG.

“We believe that in the near future, all political parties will join together and participate in taking the responsibility to fight corruption,” she said to Sinar Daily.

Meanwhile, APPG President Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi stressed that no matter what political party it was, everyone must work together to combat corruption.

“I believe that Umno or any political parties in Malaysia will agree with us to lead the country in a good direction,” he said.
