TANJUNG MALIM - The proposal to implement the Comprehensive Special Model Schools 9 (K9) in two Orang Asli schools in Tanjung Malim parliamentary constituency has been submitted to the Education Ministry, said Deputy Education Minister 1 Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon.

He said the two schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jernang in Sungkai and SK Pos Bersih in Slim River.

"I have submitted the proposal to MOE that if possible, there is no need to build a dormitory to implement K9. We can use existing classrooms.

"For the time being, we can think of ways to create and find suitable positions so that we can start the K9 concept in both schools,” He told reporters after the handover ceremony of a smart television for the ‘Smart Classroom Solution’ donated by Sharp Malaysia at SK Pos Bersih here today.

At the event, Mah also presented donations of school uniforms and RM10,000 to the school to purchase equipment such as chairs, tables and musical instruments.
