ALOR SETAR - The excellent team spirit among the workforce contributed to the various successes achieved by the Communications and Multimedia Ministry (K-KOMM) this year, according to its secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek.

He said it included the success of various large-scale programmes such as the recent National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.

"...for example, we managed to organise the National Day celebration on Aug 31 with over 100,000 visitors thronging Dataran Merdeka. Secondly, last week we managed to organise the Malaysia Day celebration with the cooperation of the Melaka government.

"We can see the excitement of the programme with many people visiting (the state) in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration. We could not have achieved all this success without commitment and teamwork,” he told Bernama and RTM after attending a town hall session with the K-KOMM fraternity (north zone) here today.

Mohammad said the ministry also managed to achieve the key performance indicators planned under the 100-day Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family Aspiration) within six months.

"We cannot achieve this without the involvement of all the members of agencies under K-KOMM. Therefore, I would like to thank all members of the ministry who have made these programmes a success,” he said.

He also hoped that the high level of commitment and team spirit among the K-KOMM workforce would continue to ensure the ministry achieves more success in the future.

Earlier, during the town hall session, Mohammad outlined seven principles that every K-KOMM employee should have, namely cooperation, good governance, a sense of urgency, upholding integrity, striving for excellence, and willingness to change and help others. - BERNAMA
