PUTRAJAYA - Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will meet Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang next week after confirmation that the Pas president had met Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi last Tuesday.

He said he will also discuss with Hadi on Perikatan Nasional of which Pas and Bersatu are members of the coalition.

“I read that statement and I am also interested to know what actually happened. I want to get clarification which I will get once I meet Hadi this Monday or Tuesday,” he told reporters at Bersatu 6th anniversary here today.

Muhyiddin said he seeks to get clarification on whether "there was any discussion, what was the outcome of the discussion, if Umno agrees with the arrangement, what is the position of PN.

“We have to take that into account as well, so at the moment, I will wait to meet him,” he added.

This comes after a meeting between Hadi and Zahid was said to be Muafakat National (MN) to avoid a clash between the two parties in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Utusan Malaysia had said that it is understood that the results of the discussion will be brought to the Umno Supreme Council (MKT) meeting on September 30.
