Mohd Chan restaurant sponsors 1,000 food packs for My #QuranTime 1.0 guests
SHAH ALAM - Chinese Muslim restaurant Mohd Chan is sponsoring 1,000 food packs for the guests of the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 convocation ceremony, next week.
Mohd Chan Group Berhad founder Datuk Mohd Chan Abdullah said he was pleased to contribute the food packs for the programme.
He said this during a discussion with the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) representatives at a Mohd Chan restaurant outlet at Section 15, here.
About 5,000 people were estimated to join the ceremony organised by WUIF that will be held at the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque in Putrajaya at 10am on Oct 8.
During the event, loyal audiences will complete the recitation of the Quran together and khatam (complete the recitation of Quran).
WUIF founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said the theme for this year’s convocation programme was "Kerinduan dan Kenangan Terindah Bersama al-Quran" (the best moments with Quran).
The programme was first broadcasted in 2020 which was during the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and it received overwhelming responses from the public.
