SHAH ALAM - Uphill battle for Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali to defend his Gombak Parliamentary seat in the 15th General Election (GE15), says his former mentor and PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

This follows after Azmin challenged Anwar to contest against him in Gombak.

“Why should I be bother about him? He should take care of his constituency, its not easy for him (to defend it,” he said in a Astro Awani report.

Anwar said this when met with the media during a book launch, titled Script: For A Better Malaysia on Sunday.

Previously, it was reported that Anwar may not contest for Port Dickson in GE15 and would instead contest in a Parliamentary seat held by a PKR and Pakatan Harapan traitor.

Azmin, who is former deputy PKR president, had challenged Anwar to contest during a speech when he launched the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) election machinery.

“There is someone who wants to come to Gombak, you are welcome. If you want to send your wife, child also can. If you are brave enough, send yourself,” Azmin was quoted saying.
