SHAH ALAM - The al-Kahfi tadabbur (recital) is among the most impactful highlight during the My #QuranTime programme, a former teacher says.

Aziah Zawawi, 64, who was a participant of the My #QuranTime 1.0 Tadabbur Convocation programme said she learned a lot from the surah.

"I saw the wisdom behind the story of the youth hiding in a cave because he wanted to save his belief, why Allah chose the words cave to be used in the Quran," she told Sinar Harian.

Aziah said she followed the program because she was pulled by the presentation brought by one of the programme’s reciter, Fazrul Ismail.

When asked about the differences obtained throughout the My #QuranTime programme compared to other Quran classes, the mother of two said the message presented was structured and orderly.

"Normally, we would be asked by our teachers to memorise the words throughout the programme and we needed to explain what was understood from the words making us understand it deeply.

"Through this programme, even though I'm not a person from the background of Islamic education I could understand its contents and meanings well," she said.

The Kelantan Ngaji House Membership and Welfare Bureau Chief views the My #QuranTime as could provide awareness to the public towards the appreciation of the Quran with a deeper understanding.

"Today we can see the cause of problems in the public was because of the lack of deep understanding towards the Quran.

"They would only read the Quran but do not understand its contents or meaning, making them not practice it the best they can.

"This is why we can see that many among us who were involved in crimes such as corruption and such were due to the lack of understanding of the Quran contents," she said.

Aziah said the appreciation of the Quran would always be practiced in public to avoid unhealthy outside influences.

The My #QuranTime daily show started airing on June 8, 2020 on Alhijrah TV would reach its 838th episode approaching the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation set to take place on Oct 8.

The convocation programme represented the peak of the programme and would be held physically at Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Putrajaya.
