KUALA LUMPUR - Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim asks for the people to give another chance for the coalition to be the government once again.

The Port Dickson MP explained PH had ruled for over 22 months before, but at the time the government was led by another individual.

"I beg the people to give another chance to change (to PH). (You) say that 22 months (of ruling) were given, but who was the leader at the time?

"No, if we won who is the leader? Don't consider it as the same," he said during his speech at ‘Jelajah Rakyat Bandar Tun Razak’ here on Monday.

Anwar explained what he regretted was the people's understanding was 'poisoned' when there were those stating PKR represented a mixed party and cooperated with DAP.

"There are those who think that no matter how bad Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) are, they are still Muslim Malays, that is the poisoned understanding.

"I want to explain it here, the people need to see the basis of it and look for ourselves the stance of (DAP Secretary-General) Anthony Loke Siew Fook and (Parti Amanah President) Mohamad Sabu," he said.

He said power needed to be given back to the people.

"We can fight more effectively if the people rise," he said.

Anwar questioned which was more dangerous whether it was the price hike, high corruption or DAP.

He explained DAP was a partner within a team where all policies were made together.

"If a decision is made and as a chairman I reject, it would not progress.

"If I was making a decision it must be fair and courteous, that was our principles.

"This meant that the country after 60 years of independence must 'band together, and treat all (of the people) as a family," he said.
