GE15: Umno-Pas may cooperate

KUALA LUMPUR – Umno is likely to continue working with Pas in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15), Barisan Nasional (BN) Selangor Head Communications Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos says.

Jamal who had earlier attended the Umno’s special meeting said this when asked to comment on the closed-door meeting he earlier attended.

" The (Meeting) is about preparing for elections only.

"The dissolution of (Parliament) has not been announced but as soon as possible.

"In addition, it may be cooperation with Pas (in GE15). That's what the grassroots want for Muafakat Nasional (MN) to face election together," he said.

The special meeting earlier comprised of Umno leaders including Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) here on Tuesday.

The meeting began at 3 pm involving Division Heads, Youth Chiefs, Women Chiefs and Puteri Umno Chiefs and lasted for an hour.
