KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob arrives at Gate One, Istana Negara at 3.50pm to meet the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

Ismail Sabri who arrived in his official vehicle lowered his window and waved to the media personnel just before the white Toyota Alphard entered Istana Negara's gate.

Previously, the Prime Minister announced that he would have an audience with King to brief His Majesty on matters discussed in the Cabinet.

Istana Negara previously denied reports that the meeting was meant for Ismail Sabri to apply for the dissolution of Parliament.

The matter was confirmed by Comptroller of the Royal Household for Istana Negara Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin.

However, the speculations regarding the dissolution would be answered today.

The meeting with the King would shed some light on whether it was a routine meeting to brief regarding the Cabinet Meeting results including the 2023 Budget or to present the dates for the dissolution of Parliament to His Majesty.
