GE15: PN's component parties' machinery to move under one flag

KUALA LUMPUR - The Perikatan Nasional (PN) Presidential Council meeting today agreed that all election machinery of its component parties should operate under the coalition's flag in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the matter was decided at the council meeting and the subsequent Pribumi Bersatu political bureau meeting.

"Earlier, we had a meeting to discuss the preparations for GE15. When is the time (GE15), we don't know, but this is not new, we have already discussed it several times but today it is more detailed.

"We have agreed at the PN level that all machinery, at all levels needs move under the PN's flag; which is a combination of component parties Bersatu, Pas, Gerakan, Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) and Parti Solidariti Tanah AirKu (STAR).

"That's what we have decided," he told reporters after the meeting.

Also present at the meeting were Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, PN election director Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, PN secretary general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, Bersatu vice presidents Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee and Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin as well as Gerakan president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.

Muhyiddin added that the council also agreed to continue the Prihatin Tour Program in order to provide a detailed explanation of the coalition's views on current issues.

"This includes what we want to add into our manifesto and what we want to prepare which will focus on the people's issues. We want to prioritize in that," said Muhyiddin.
