PUTRAJAYA - The unexpectedly high turnout at the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation Ceremony shows that the Malaysian community misses the book of Allah.

Selangor Mufti Datuk Dr Anhar Opir said it was possible that the participants realise that there was no better place to rely except on Allah SWY.

"One of the ways to worship Allah is by reciting the Quran," he said when met by Sinar Harian here on Saturday.

About 8,000 My #QuranTime participants were celebrated at the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation Ceremony at Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque at 11.30 am to 1 pm earlier today.

The Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation Ceremony themed 'Kerinduan and Kenangan Terindah Bersama al-Quran' ahead of the Maulidur Rasul 1444H celebration became a platform for the unification of participants from various backgrounds.

My #QuranTime was a collaborative programme between the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) and Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) as well as AlHijrah TV as the main broadcaster.

This programme was a continuation of Malaysia #QuranTime which was first introduced on March 20, 2020 on the AlHijrah TV platform with the aim to provide spiritual filling for Malaysians facing the Movement Control Order (MCO) due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Anhar, who was one of the reciters, also praised the Khatam Tadabbur My #QuranTime 1.0 Convocation Ceremony and described it as an excellent programme.

"I hope it is not just the end here but continues to support, contribute and pray because this is a testament to our love for the Prophet Muhammad PBUH," he said.
