Insensitive to hold elections during Deepavali, says Perak DAP

SHAH ALAM - The BN government is insensitive to hold elections during Deepavali, said Perak DAP.

Nga Kor Ming said: "With the dissolution of Parliament today, the BN government is very insensitive to the feelings of Indians who are busy preparing for the Deepavali on Oct 24.

"It has been proven that the slogan "Malaysian family" is just political rhetoric," he said in a statement.

He also expressed concerns as elections will be held during monsoon season.

Nga called Umno-BN "irresponsible" for dissolving the Parliament shortly after the budget tabling RM372 billion budget last week.

On the other hand, he stated that Pakatan Harapan will facilitate the public during the wet season.

"Compared to BN's unreasonable action, Pakatan Harapan state governments in Selangor, Penang and Negeri Sembilan will continue to focus on efforts to help flood victims.

"This proves that Pakatan Harapan prioritises the well-being and welfare of the people, not greed for power like BN."

Ngo urged the rakyat to vote for a bright change.

"Now that the power is in the hands of the people, this is the time for all Malaysians to rise up and elect a new government of Hope that is clean, that has integrity and is focused on lifting the reform agenda for the well-being of the people of various races and the prosperity of the country.

"Come on, let's rise together!" he said.
