PUTRAJAYA- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob left the Perdana Putra Building at 4.45pm after announcing the dissolution of Parliament today.

He was seen in a black vehicle headed to the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre (WTCKL) to attend the Umno political bureau meeting.

It was reported to start at 5pm today followed by the Umno Supreme Council meeting later tonight.

When approached by media members, Ismail Sabri said: “I have announced it. Now I’m headed to the Umno political meeting”.

Ismail Sabri announced the dissolution of Parliament this evening at 3pm to pave the way for an early polls that must be held sixty days from now.

The announcement, although expected, still came as a surprise since his Keluarga Malaysia administration had just tabled next year's federal budget last Friday.
