KUALA LUMPUR - Pas and Umno are likely to clash in 27 Parliamentary seats after both the parties failed to reach an understanding.

Umno Vice President Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin said Pas failed to fulfill three conditions set by Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"As Pas didn't accept it (conditions), it (cooperation) offer would fall off, that's all.

"If there is none (cooperation) this would lead to a competition (clash for Umno-Pas seats)," he said when met after the Umno Supreme Working Council (MKT) Meeting at Menara Dato' Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC), here, on Monday.

He said this when asked to comment on Umno-Pas cooperation.

Umno's three conditions are dish the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, cutting political ties with Bersatu and declaring 'mufaraqah' or dismissal.

Pas in a response said they will continue to cooperate with Umno and Bersatu.

Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang had said the party would continue to unify the ummah and ensuring political stability in the country after GE15.

Khaled said Umno would begin its process of choosing GE15 candidates on Tuesday.

He said the list would be presented by the state chiefs.

"If we (Umno) followed the usual process of the party's constitution, the state chief would have to submit it to the leadership. Tomorrow we will start the process," he said.

On Monday, Umno supreme council agreed to discuss of the possibility of holding GE15 by early in November before the monsoon season begins in mid November.
