SHAH ALAM - Bersatu youth wing information chief Ashraf Mustaqim Badrul Munir acknowledges he had received orders from the leadership to go forward with their campaign even though the dates for the 15th General Election (GE15) is not set.

He said the social media was crucial to spread the party's information to all voters.

"It started a while ago, it's just that we will expand it as what was done in Johor and Melaka state elections as soon as possible.

"In the context of social media, the orders are there, we took aggressive approach to deliver information to the public not to attack any political parties or their campaigns but to focus more on Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"The main agenda is for people to know and understand what is PN's goals and mission to create a community if GE15 is won," he told Sinar Harian.

Ashraf shared Bersatu Armada's plan to organise multiple social media programmes, including to interview party leaders.

"We will present the candidates and leadership figures as soon as possible for the public to learn more about them, that is among the strategies that will be seen.

"In addition, the interview session will highlight the extent of the grassroots to help spread information to the public because we know the challenges in the information technology space now especially involving internet algorithms.

"We know the situation now is complex because if a person is not well versed in the world of politics and chooses to look for entertainment articles, the internet algorithm may not bring the news to them," he said.
