DENGKIL - Caretaker Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun said Sepang is the place where she was born and where her families are.

She said this in response on her readiness to face incumbent Sepang MP Mohamed Hanipa Maidin who held the seat for two terms, in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

Rina who is also Bersatu Srikandi (Women’s) chief said the constituency was also where she first started her political career.

"Sepang is where I was born and my families are also here. I lived here since the 90s.

"Whether it's easy or not to win here, it depends on the party leadership on where my seat will be.

"In an election, competition is everywhere. So it doesn't matter which MP I'm contesting against or anywhere I contest in.

"Now we have 14 political parties and it has become merrier. But at the same time, we need to give assurance to the rakyat and show them what we could deliver when we have the chance to become an MP," she said, today.

Meanwhile, she also said names of Bersatu candidates have been submitted and currently in process.
