SEREMBAN - DAP is expected to announce the list of candidates for 15th General Election (GE15) for each state in stages starting next week.

DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke Siew Fook said it is now in the final stages.

"The announcement would be made in stages according to the states.

"Each state has sent their list of candidates suggested at the DAP supreme leadership level, we have discussed and made our evaluations," Loke told reporters after the Seremban Parliament Election Machinery launch for Nilai, Lobak and Temiang State Assembly at a hall, here on Monday.

The Seremban Parliamentary seat incumbent said even though there was an increase in Malay voters in Parliament, he was confident he would be able to maintain it.

He said Malay voters in the area were open and and would accept DAP.

"From a demographic standpoint there is much more Malay voters in Seremban and we have expected the percentage of Malay voters to increase due to the automatic registration of 18-year old voters at over 52 per cent.

"Generally, the Malay majority areas are quite difficult for PH but my service in Seremban is not new, it has been operating for two terms.

"Previously, I was serving as Lobak Assemblyman for two terms and it gave me over 18 years of experience in Seremban Parliamentary seat," he said.

The total number of voters in Seremban are now at 156,604 with Malays (89,192), Chinese (55,263) and Indian (16,213).

In GE14, Loke won the federal seat with a majority of 30,694 votes.
