Man arrested for throwing cats from 15th floor

PETALING JAYA - Police arrested a man suspected of throwing three cats from the 15th floor at an apartment in PJS 8/9, here, on Monday.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the man’s action was seen by other residents in the apartment before he was reported to the police.

"The police received a report from an individual at 9.37pm regarding a man who allegedly thew three cats at the scene of the incident.

"Police arrived at the scene and arrested the 44-year-old man suspected to be involved in the incident," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said checks on the location found three dead felines.

"The man had since admitted to be involved in the incident.

"The man has been remanded and investigated under Section 428 of the Penal Code," he said.
