MetMalaysia warns strong winds in peninsula

SHAH ALAM – The Malaysian Meteorology Department (MetMalaysia) today alerts a high wind concentration expected in the peninsula area between Oct 21 and 23.
In a statement uploaded via Facebook, the department said this situation has the potential to cause the formation of thunderstorm clouds that can bring heavy rain and strong winds in the afternoon to early evening in most states in the peninsula.
This was the result of an analysis made by MetMalaysia Weather Research and Forecasting Model (MET-WRF), European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and Global Forecast System (GFS).
