GE15: BN to finalise candidates three to five days before nominations

HULU TERENGGANU - BN will finalise its list of candidates three to five days before the nomination day on Nov 5.
BN Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said almost 70 per cent will be of new faces to attract voters.
He said the method has proven to work in Melaka and Johor state elections.
"We had 84 per cent new faces in Melaka and 72 per cent in Johor. Voters want new faces to give the party a new spirit and to serve the people," he said.
He made the remarks to the media after the Stability and Prosperity Solidarity Assembly and the Launching of the 15th National Front Machinery (GE15) at the ABM Jenagor Hall, here on Friday.
Also present were Umno Vice President and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Terengganu BN Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said.
Commenting on BN's preparations for the Parliamentary seats, Zahid said his party has identified between 27 and 31 seats that should be avoided.
