KUALA LUMPUR - Traffic flow on several main highways remained under control and as of 10.30pm tonight, no unusual congestion was reported despite the balik kampung exodus in conjunction with the long weekend due to Deepavali and school holiday.

The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) in its latest Twitter message reported that traffic flow was slow along the East Coast Expressway (LPT1) before entering the Karak Toll Plaza.

Slow traffic flow was also reported on Lebuhraya Sungai Besi (BESRAYA) at the Chan Sow Lin interchange, Ikan Emas to Salak Selatan, Salak Jaya to Kampung Malaysia and at the South bound Mines Toll Plaza.

"An accident was reported along the south bound Kajang-Bangi highway at KM301.8, resulting in the emergency lane obstructed while traffic was reported to be slow paced,” said LLM.

Slow traffic flow was also reported along the south bound North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) from Dataran Prima to Shah Alam and after the Subang Toll Plaza heading to Kelana Jaya.
