KOTA BHARU - All Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates who will contest in the 15th General Election (GE15) must sign an anti-corruption pledge.

The pledge, its chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said was a sign of commitment by GE15 candidates representing PN in fighting against corruption and to fully comply with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009.

“This was practiced during the Melaka and Johor state elections.

"PN is the only coalition in this country that does that," he said in a press conference after a gathering held in conjunction with the 32-year celebration of the Kelantan government’s administration of developing with Islam at the compound of Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, here, on Friday.

Also present were Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob.

Muhyiddin said this was one of PN's promises to ensure that all candidates have high integrity.

In another development, the Bersatu president said PN will place all its candidates in 27 hot seats.

He said that the seat distribution involved all the component parties in PN.
