GE15: MIC's candidate list finalised, to be approved soon

SHAH ALAM - MIC's list of candidates for the 15th General Election (GE15) is finalised and will be approved by leaders of Barisan Nasional, says party president Tan Sri S. A. Vigneswaran.

As such, Vigneswaran expressed his hope that the candidates, who have passed the party’s screening will be accepted the coalition.

He also informed that the decision will be announced by the BN chairman.

““Hopefully (these candidates) will be accepted by the BN leadership. It (the decision) will be announced by the BN chairman,” he said when met at the state-level Deepavali celebration held at Sungai Siput on Tuesday.

Also present at the event was Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, as reported by Bernama.

Meanwhile, Vigneswaran also said that the request for additional seats for the party has been submitted to BN leadership.

He assured that they are determined to win in traditional seats and the request should be acceptable since it involved seats that they can win during the election.

“We requested to contest winnable seats so there will be no waste of money. We also want to ensure victory in all traditional seats,” he said. - BERNAMA
