SHAH ALAM - Incumbent Simpang Renggam MP Maszlee Malik says voting in the coming elections was crucial to ensure the country falls into the right hands.

He urged Malaysians not to give in to political fatigue.

“This election is rather extremely important. It would determine the future of Malaysia and it will determine the future of your children, your grandchildren and the future of our economy.

“Come to the polling station, cast your votes and make sure Malaysia will be free from all the corruptors and kleptocrats,” he told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank.

Malaysians go to polls on Nov 19.

Maszlee, the former education minister added that he will continue to fight for the betterment of the country’s education system even if he loses in the GE15.

He wants to ensure Malaysians receives world-class education which is on par with Singapore in Mathematics and Science, Finland on schooling and teaching and Japan when it comes to value and discipline.

The country's education system should also be on par with Germany's technical and vocational education, he added.

He further said it is a possible as during his time with the education ministry in 2019, they come up with a new educational model to be used in 2021 which included politics and civic and citizenship.

Although it could not be introduced following the sudden collapse of Pakatan Harapan coalition in 2020, he said it is not the end of his vision and he will keep the fight for education going.
