We need to contest nationwide as Sabah, Swak only has 56 seats, says Warisan

This comes as some critics voiced concerns of Warisan splitting urban votes.
However, Shafie said he would still nominate candidates to contest in Peninsula despite receiving various questions.
"I will be in Kuala Lumpur on Nov 1 to place candidates in Kuala Lumpur. Why is Shafie placing candidates in Kuala Lumpur? Because our numbers are not enough," he said after the launch of Warisan Ranau Division at Chon Chun Kung Society Hall, here, on Saturday.
He said Sabah only has 25 seats while Sarawak has 31 seats, bringing a total of 56 while Peninsula has 168 seats.
"If Sabah and Sarawak were to join hands, we still have only 56 seats, how can we change the Malaysian government," he said.
The Semporna Parliamentary incumbent further denied that his party is a party of illegal immigrants (PATI) as claimed by certain parties.
"If Maximus (Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili) doesn't want to cooperate with me, that's fine. But don't insult us in Warisan, we are Sabahans."
Earlier, in his speech, Shafie announced the ninth candidate to represent his party, a government retiree, Markos Siton, 67, as a candidate for the Ranau Parliament.
Markos, the Ranau Warisan Division Chief, is a former director of Human Resource Development and retired in 2015.
