GE15: Clash of titans at 20 Parliamentary seats

SHAH ALAM - There are at least 20 hot seats with big names likely to clash in the 15th General Election (GE15).

In the Klang Valley, there are nine hot seats with focus on Gombak with Perikatan Nasional Election Director Datuk Seri Azmin Ali to defend his seat against PKR through its heavyweight candidate, Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

Another hot seat is the Titiwangsa with former Umno's fiinance minister II Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani hoping to win back the seat lost in 2018 polls. He will face Amanah's former federal territories minister Khalid Abdul Samad.

Pejuang's heavyweight Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan will also be contesting the Titiwangsa seat.

In Kuala Selangor, caretaker finance minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz will clash with former Pakatan Harapan Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

The competition in the Sungai Buloh Parliamentary seat will be the focus when caretaker Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin will contest here.

In Bandar Tun Razak, former PKR President Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will fight incumbent, Kamarudin Jaffar, who had previously quit the party during the '2020 Sheraton Move'.

Meanwhile, PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli, who is running again in the Pandan seat will face former MCA President Ong Tee Keat who will be contesting under Warisan ticket.

In the meantime, caretaker plantation industry and commodities minister from Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM), Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin will be defending her Ampang seat against Selangor exco for housing, urban wellbeing and development Rodziah Ismail.

In Putrajaya, Bersatu vice president and caretaker education minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin will clash with Umno's former federal territories minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

Meanwhile, in Perak, there are six hot seats for grab.

PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who left the safe seat in Port Dickson will compete in the Tambun against Bersatu's deputy president, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is also expected face a fight in Bagan Datuk with PKR former Information Chief Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin.

In Pahang, the incumbent of BN's Machang seat Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub will face PN 's deputy youth chief, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad.
